Re: Finds Photograph Copy Stand

As we are on the subject, I've been playing with my Canon 450d DSLR for finds pictures. Just using the Kit lense 18mm - 55mm at the 55mm end and about 10 cms from the end of the lens to the object. I've started with an old box picture frame, £1 from a charity shop. stand2 081.JPG Added a couple of &...

Re: Photo stand

I like that PaulR, I picked up a Hobbycraft light box for a £1 from a charity shop the other day. Thinking of using it as a back light for the copyboard, which is currently a box style picture frame. Re: Baby deaths link to Roman 'brothel' in Buckinghams

A brothel and a Pub making home brew, kind of makes sense.

The programme that you saw Deetektor, I think was related to a run down villa in Italy with many infant burials within the walls. I seem to remember that insect borne disease was the cause of so many deaths. :g43:

Re: 3 killed trying to disarm WWII-era bomb in Germany

I hope the people who have live rounds (bullets) at home that they have dug up have read this. It goes to show how volatile and unpredictable old ammunition can be. Thanks for sharing Deetektor :g50: I was thinking the same, if you do find anything that you are not to sure about, don't be tempted t...

Re: Volkswagen camper van marks 60 years of production

Who is a nutter then. :g37: Our 1978 "Kombi" Devon Moonraker camper. Which we use for camping and I use it during the detecting season to carry my detector in. I can chill out in a layby with a freshly brewed cupper and a hot slice of toast, when ever I want. :g62: She may be slow with no ...

Re: What a start!

Saw a programme about the redevelopment of post war Coventry a while back. They have extensive maps of known explosions. They are able to follow the track of strings or sticks from one aircraft. They then look for gaps in the lines of explosions, these areas have a watching brief when new ground wor...

Re: Photos for ID new Lens or camera

This may help if you are on a budget, Click Here Close up filter sets that can be stacked on the end of a standard lense, I've had some success with these for finds pictures. Much cheaper then macro lenses.
