Free UKDN Tool Bar

Guys, History Hunter (Tony) has put together a new tool bar that you can download for your use.

I have to say it's excellent and we hope you'll enjoy it as much as us. If offers all kinds of useful links and information that is easy to access.

It's totally safe to use and will save you time, not forgetting a quick login UKDN button.
UKDN continues to be innovative, enjoy!

Hi John,

It'll work alongside any other tool bar, no need to un-install the others.
It's free from spyware & totally safe. It has dynamic content so there is no need to un-install everytime we may change or add something (tweaks). Any changes made should automatically show if you do a refresh toolbar or if you've just opened your browser up. To refresh the toolbar, where the UKDN logo is (clickable to take you directly to this forum) you'll see an inverted triangle, click on it to select refresh toolbar. Other options are available.

There is a ticker & UKDN RSS News feed, information will be sent via one of them... Short messages via the ticker, long messages via the RSS News. - You don't have to be logged in to the UKDN to received important info or updates.

Any RSS feeds that you'd like added we can add for you/ other members... just ask Admins..

The toolbar will not work with Camino or Safari, however it will work with the Mac version of Firefox.

Use the Mac version of Firefox and the toolbar will work fine (with the exception of the radio).

The RSS feeds are taken from the PAS and links to the latest finds recorded in your area... Everytime a new find is recorded you'll receive a visual notification that the feeds have been updated by a yellow star.

The RSS feeds are now split into two separate buttons.. A-K & L-W, this should improve everyones viewing experience.

The toolbar has significantly raised our traffic over the last month. We've served 1.7 million pages through the database this month. Since the server has become more stable, I think people are able to use it more effectively. Hopefully when my redesign is complete, then the site will be user friendly!

I have an Intel Mac computer. Will the tool bar work for me as far as you know?

If you have firefox, then yes it works on an intel mac.
Tony, if any other RSS feeds play up could you send me a list and I'll get them fixed.

Hmm, maybe a reason for that.
Just done a recount for pages served this month - 2.2 million.
Last month 1.7 million. The toolbar is giving a boost. Thank you that man.

I've added links to the BBC iPlayer and also the ITV Catchup.. just do a refresh of your toolbar. :g5:

Bronze age finds
Iron age finds
Roman finds
Early-Medieval finds
Medieval finds
Post-Medieval finds
