Bloody Hell I bet he's pleased with himself, it would have taken him 4 months to have earned that much :)

holy cow!!!.............me and my dad once visited all the farms in high akworth seeking permission, and got knocked back at all of them, i know these were found in a garden but you never know!......i dont think i would have been able to contain myself, i would come over all un-necessary!!!!

Theres, 99% of us searching day in day out with our detectors hoping to find something like this, and this wealthy guy digs this up in his lunch break without a detector.
Theres no justice in this world ,anyway im going out tomorrow withOUT my detector and going to take my stethoscope. Wish me luck!
Great find anyway.lol

Not unless they had a prior agreement with the owner I would think :g43:
My wifes family used to live in an old cottage on the Fitzwilliam estate near Barnsley called the counting house, her granddad hid his gold sovereigns in a hole in the wall behind the fireplace, builders came to do some work and and found the pot they where kept in, and that is all they handed over the pot :g44: but the clean area where the coins had been nestled was clearly visible but they denied finding any coins :g48:
