Be patient Pops, it does take some time.
I used to have an issue regarding having an inferiority complex, I no longer have an issue with being inferior.

Re: Windows 10
OK I am in the process of talking my better half into letting me download (for download read experiment) W10 onto her W8 laptop.
for those that have ventured into the unknown, will it leave all her piccies, emails etc out of the equation or will it liquidise them into PC soup

Re: Windows 10
Guess I was lucky. I switched on the laptop on 29th and clicked the windows icon to find it had all downloaded and was ready to install. Is it the download or the install that is taking so long Pops?...........

Re: Windows 10
So far, what I'm seeing is a slightly different version of W8.1 without the need to get to the app zone as they appear under the start window. However have a quick read of my post about the tips as you have over 10 pages of privacy settings to go through!
Tiz a tad faster. One issue, I've been using Chrome for a while rather than IE because of video issues. However, I had to find the make Chrome my default browser as everytime it was asking me to set the new IE as default. However every programme and data I have still remains.

Re: Windows 10
I think you may be able to get your ASUS sorted. First thing I noticed was that all of my favourites had gone.
After an hour of farting around, they reappeared. So far I like it much more than 8 or 8.1, time will tell.

Re: Windows 10
if you dont lie it nor get on with it john, you have the ability to restore it back to your last version but only within the first 30 days, otherwise unless you have the W8.1 disc you will be stuck with it.
me, i am getting to quite like this and think its a much needed improvement, having said that i did like W8.1.
i know the answer but does anyone know why microsoft skipped W9?
