What an amazing story Lee.

I use Bog Oak in my work and the peat bogs in Norfolk and Lincolnshire have a similar effect on wood by preserving it for thousands of years. Of course they also have an awful lot of Bog Oak, Yew and Scots Pine in Ireland apart from the butter!!

Below are one of my Stingray sculptures made from 6,500 year old Bog Oak.
