Yep, Earl of Bradford whose family seat was at Weston Park near Weston-under-Lizard in south Staffordshire Click Here The Bradford he was earl of was in Shropshire and not the more well known one in Yorkshire. I'll try and id the other coat of arms when I have more time tonight, unless DiOz beats me to again :g42:
Can you try and find out what is written on the reverse please Barry as it may help to date it more easily? And can I use the image for my website please? A great button, one that the finder should be proud of :g50:

Kev, the button was plain on the back, copper alloy. Thanks DiOz and Kev. Weston Park is about 1/2 hours drive from here up the A5.

It took longer than hoped but the last coat of arms was finally tracked down to the Matthews family, namely the Matthews of Blodwell whose daughter, Ursula, was the sole heir to the estate in Shropshire. She married the 3rd Baronet of Lever in 1694 and their son (Orlando) married into the Newport family when he married Anne the second daughter of the 2nd Earl of Bradford.
Some info here Click Here
And here (use the + sign at the bottom to find Ursula marriage towards the left hand side) Click Here
I still need to sort out who the escutcheon of pretence is for (the small shield in the middle) when I have some more spare time to look.

I think what's on the "escutcheon of pretence" may be on the lower-right quarter of this "Earl of Bradford" coat-of-arms....

From that website.....
Sir Thomas Cookes in 1693 produced the first buildings on the present site and the historic link with Worcester College, Oxford which shares the same coat of arms and motto, based on those of Thomas Cookes of Norgrove.

Sir Thomas Cookes was a Baronet. :g50:
