Re: Livery buttons

Looks like a livery button due to the torse (rope like feature) at the base of the crest. I can find plenty of castles with four towers but none with domed tops with crosses on. Stafford has a similar crest but it uses pennants rather than crosses. More researching required :g43:

Thank's For your suggestions Kev and all the other members ideas.
I still think it may be the Tower of London, as it has had weather vanes on each tower for many years, and the "rope like feature" I believe is meant to be the River Thames.
Cheers all.
Ken

You're welcome to this one Kev, a member found it near Pocklington, East Yorkshire.

Griffin's head vert between two wings.

The nearest I could find on 'Mysecretsilver' was Browne of Tallentire Hall, Cumbria.

This is nowhere near East Yorkshire so a bit odd.

The Mysecretsilver website seems to have disappeared now.

Thanks a lot Dave :g50:

No wonder I couldn't find the website, I should have Googled 'Myfamilysilver' :bus:

I'm hoping it's the Newham Hall at Coulby Newham at Middlesborough.
