Both Jen and I said when we saw the dig locations... there may have been a saxon village there, but its all ornamental gardens now. there will be 2-3 feet of top soil at least. and claiming that pressed copper thing to be medieval. any detectorist would have seen that was 1910 1920 ish. probably a h...

supposed experts getting basic stuff wrong too.... Henry 7th "around `1600".. plumbing fittings, was actually a barrel tap. and.. £50-60 for a few roman grots.. utter car crash program

3 times the trailer mentions value... most valuable, treasure.. will be focussed on selling finds... watch your permissions... every body that watches will be turning up with £30 dectectors

there are another 2 or 3 i know of still organising big weekend rallies. they advertise it as 2 or 3 events allowing a certain number onto each field. this is exactly what is destroying the hobby.
