So what defines those holes as made by hawks & not badgers or anything else? They look pretty rough to me. They actually look like dunes, which of course are sandy, and when walked upon, will cause this kind of damage. Not sure of the correct name/spelling, but that looks like marron grass, use...

Seeding is pointless..... most top end machines can be set to notch out something standard like a steel washer. I can put a "pound coin" setting into my Minelab which is great for bootsale fields etc...... its reverse theory with washers or similar. Geo-phys machines can`t be adjusted as ...

If I was a landowner I would find a drone very useful. I could patrol my land in safety very very quickly and have peace of mind.
