Re: Metal detectorist finds historic gold coin....

Yeah, also seen him on YouTube, agree he's quite a character - never does arable all from pasture as far as I can tell; his excitement does get the better of him but he means well and always contacts his FLO and I've seen him get geo-phys and archaeologists involved :g50:

Re: Livery buttons

Hi Dave,

Thanks yet again, and as I suspected at least one I've previously posted so apologies for my rubbish admin.

Tonight I will look at the names in more detail to work out if any still have local connections - and label them up!!

Brilliant work, much appreciated :g50:

Here are a few more buttons dug out of various finds boxes, which I hope y...

Birmingham maker Henry Edwards, gold gilt with simple fleur-de-lis. Found Gloucestershire, thanks in advance. The fleur-de-...

Re: Livery buttons

Wow Dave, that's just fascinating - to tie it down to a local family is superb - with your permission can I pass it on to the Charlton Kings heritage group - they may additional local records that may help tell the story associated with this otherwise overlooked button find :g38: :g38:
