There is a railway bridge which crosses the A30 at Goss Moor, near Bodmin in Cornwall. Numerous times every year it would be hit by lorries which were too high. The signpostings were ample , and advance warnings, with alternative routes were very clearly displayed, but it still occured several times...

As far as I can work out, this camera will focus down to 6cm in macro mode as long as you haven't used zoom. At 6cm you should still get superb detail with this amount of megapixels. Are you sure you are in macro mode? - if so make sure you're not closer than 6cm, and make sure you have the camera ...

Thank you for posting this link. Yet again it highlights the way in which our hobby is being spoiled by criminals, and detectorists who are not responsible, in their actions. We cannot accuse the authorities for taking a hard line, to overcome this problem. Anyone who leaves a hole not backfilled is...

That's an interesting article. Something which I learned early on, when I started detecting was, if you are in a field, and there is an area where nettles are growing, it is a good sign of there having been a building in the past.
