Re: School axes class History lesson

History was my second favourite after biology (our biology teacher was fairly stunning lol ) our history teachers, got real artefacts, some chainmail from the bannockburn era, made up battle diorama's for Wallace, Bruce, and the jacobite uprisings. really made an effort to involve the class in a liv...

Re: BBc breakfast news, on nighthawking

I've had similar Kev. been told to get lost, but in my case it was the actions of a club that caused ill feeling. But we've managed to get a couple of farms now. so none too bad. I do think that this was the BBc performing tabloid sensationalist journalism at it's worst. and I'd still like to find o...

Re: BBc breakfast news, on nighthawking

you can disagree with treasure trove findings, but they are acting within the law. Frankly if someone i knew, burgled peoples homes stealing their personal possestions etc. I'd be straight down the nick. lock ...

Re: BBc breakfast news, on nighthawking

Sorry Dain, Piker but I personally would "grass" up anyone breaking the law nighthawking, illegally hunting with dogs. you cant just ignore one law because it doesn't suit. it's like saying, i'll come and spray paint your house, well I dont agree with the vandalism laws. Would you accept t...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7891530.stm BBC breakfast news, carried a story on nigthhawking, claiming it costs "billions of pounds to our national heritage" not one mention of decent detectorists, being in the majority. English heritage commisioned the report, without asking a balancing...
