Trouble is we would miss a site like this generally by discriminating out the iron. There may only be very few "other" metallic objects on such a site that would not indicate it's real importance. It shows how metal detectors can be used successfully on an archaeological dig though...........

And in the newspapers we get slagged off by the archies. Also it gives the headline "How the Battle of Bosworth was lost", and not a word about how it was lost !! I think that is a journalist trying to be clever Ray and referring to how the real battlefield was "lost" until this...

1. 20mm x 24mm including tang. Crown just visible above a shield.
2. 26mm x 28mm. 2532 on one side. S & Co. on other side.
3. 28mm x 24mm. Odd shape and markings?
