Closest I can find is for the Copland family, plenty of them around Wiltshire. This image isn't exact but the description lower down the page is more accurate https://www.myfamilysilver.com/pages/crestfinder-crest.aspx?id=141698&name=Copland Nice to see you posting again Chris :beer :beer :beer

Re: butley priory dig
Well it costs a bit to buy the nice finds and it takes a bit of time to seed the field for the gullible :g64: :g64: :g64: If this was a genuine find it is a shame that no mention is made of recording it or any of the other finds before they are taken out of the country (export licence?) :g45: :g45: ...

Re: Gold stolen from British museum

This con has gone on for decades, it is an excuse used by their work mates when they get found ...

Re: Gold stolen from British museum
I donated all my Saxon and one Viking find to Lincoln museum about 5 years ago as they requested more items from that era, as their collection didn't reflect the county's history over that time. After some thought I decided to donate the finds stipulating that I wished them to be displayed, this the...

Call me old fashioned but I thought that Medusa had snakes for hair, not hair and a pair of wings on the side of the head, that was reserved for Mercury the messenger. Still a brilliant find though

Re: Explosives used to rob silverware from church
