Re: Here's my question.

It also depends on your hearing as well :g58: some detectors are irritating to some users, if your hard of hearing like me? a machine that as a crisp two way signal can help. The minelabs are brilliant machines, but the explorer range take some getting use to by a beginner, they whistle and squeak a...

Re: Detector Purchase

Good write up Dave - is the T2 much heavier than the Deus, having never used one. I know one chap at our club that has gone back to a T2 after having a Deus but not sure if he is actually finding any more than he did with his Deus, I will ask him next time I see him? I would say that a T2 would be ...

Re: Handed back to finder?

The "Sandbach Brooch", as the PAS christened it, was found in 2011 by my good friend and detecting buddy Stan (Lobo) Cooper. It was declared treasure at inquest, went through the system and was disclaimed and returned in 2012, then went to auction. The bidding was opened at £10,000 and th...

Re: Handed back to finder?

i think maybe the present overwhelming amount of detector finds and the lack of money in the museums could mean a lot of nice finds could be getting handed back in the future :g43:
