Well I use a mini digger from Regton. It’s very lightweight but strong and can be easily carried all day. Had one for years.
Relatively cheap too, so if you want to buy something else later on, you haven’t broken the bank.

At last! A positive press for once. We, as a detecting hobby are not perfect but the indisputable truth is, most of the great discoveries of the last thirty years in this country have been made by detector users, so it is about time we received the recognition that we are well overdue.
