I was very excited when I saw the lead sundial as I have found one almost identical to this one in Pennsylvania. It was found about 18 inches deep under old tree roots next to a 1700s mill. However before this mill was built and almost right next to it was a log cabin built probably in the late 160...

I had another very nice cloth seal yesterday. This one says COLCESTER SAY F 1586. Say was a very fine wool cloth similar to worsted produced in Colchester in particular, when the Flemish weavers established themselves there between 1550 and 1600. Hi StuE Here's one found yesterday in Saltfleet on the North Lincolnshire coast. The front is a cross on a shield with III above. The reverse is hard to read but looks like a line of pellets with ANG beneath it then III below that with some numbers or letters, maybe 180 or LBO, below that...but don'...
