New TV show in the making...

Post by Wodens »

Hi Guys and Gals

My name is Alan and a group of my friends are trying to put together a new TV show called "THE RELIC HUNTERS" which we hope to pitch to the Networks and Local channels once we put together a few shows. The show is about discovering, saving and preserving the past of New England through responsible detecting and other retrieval methods. Please check out our website http://therelichunters.com/Home.html and please give us your thoughts on the site. There is a guest book for comments (no strings attached) so that we can get a feel what other hunters think of our site content. Thanks to the UK detector net for letting me share this with you all.

all the very best

Alan and the crew.

Not sure I like the term "Relic Hunters", or the term "Hunters".
Any programme concerning the hobby, would have to be significantly better than the
last effort, which concentrated too much on the "financial rewards".

If I were taking part, I would first want to know how detectorists were to be
portrayed. Who were to be the voices against the hobby, and which "experts were
to be involved". It would also need to involve the PAS.

Looking at the website, I see it's a US concern :g43: Mmmmmmmm.....
I'm not sure what we can offer a programme about detecting in New England ?
Support the PAS
You know it makes sense

could be interesting, I'd think channels like discovery or NG, would be best. the fishing programmes on discovery home and leisure, would probably be a good format to use as a base
