I was contacted by BBC Lincolnshire yesterday to try and get club members to go. Luckily it is my day off tomorrow so I will go. Hopefully someone will put their coil over them, it will be great PR for the hobby.

Only me and Dev going at present, those that have replied are all working or committed to other things. I'm not sure if they will allow anyone on after today as the landowner has only given permission from 2pm today until they are found or daylight fades. The local news said this morning that around 30 detectorists are going apparently, we will see.Evo wrote:Kev how many are going?.like I said before, if you still need people on Saturday, I am available. Re: come on folks if you're near lincolshire.......
Around 70 to 80 people turned up, about 75% of them with detectors (although some were just toy ones from Argos and Tandy) but despite much searching there were not found. If they were there, with that many people searching, they would have been found. The general consensus is that he didn't lose them there. I sincerely hope that they are discovered soon where ever they are.

Yep, on the local news that they were handed in by someone in Sunderland which is where the owner lives. I guess he lost them on his return from his trip.
