This story goes to show the importance of declaring finds through the PAS and having local FLO's who can see the bigger picture in this case putting together 8 different detectorists small gold finds and realising that they probably came form one garment.

kate sumnall is not an arky she is an FLO at the london museum and when i took finds in in the past found her to be not very knowledgable like previous FLOs at the museum ,considering they are surrounded by a wealth of finds to refer to they have made some alarming blunders in the past
