Strong winds have almost buried a seafront in sand.
Hundreds of tons of sand have been blown off the beach in Mablethorpe leaving a large section of the seafront buried.
Two crazy golf courses have been forced to close, paths along the promenade and the ramp used to launch the lifeboat are covered in up to 2ft of sand in places and a cafe says its half-term trade has been hit badly.
A clean-up operation is now underway, but East Lindsey District Council has admitted there is a limit to what they can achieve in strong wind - as the sand just keeps blowing off the beach - and have warned it could be a few days before the powerful gales die down.
Volunteers have started shovelling away the sand, but say they might have to bring in heavy diggers to stand a chance of clearing up the mess ahead of the weekend.
