Magnetic fishing trip nets coin haul
Thomas Jackson had been searching a local brook - which he does not identify - using neodymium magnets when the amazing trove presented itself........

Could well be pete, he says they look to be from lots of different eras and maybe could have been someone’s coin collection that was either lost or stolen.

Don`t bother replying & quoting me then.Owen williams422 wrote:Did ur father never tell you?if you have nothing nice to say shut up lol ur so negative it's almost depressingjcmaloney wrote:Far more questions than answers........ #fakenews !
So lets examine the "news"..... d
Did "Mr Magnet Fisher" have permission?
Have said coins, that qualify as Treasure, been to inquest?
As they apparently haven`t according to the article how has "Mr Magnet Fisher" donated them to the Museum?
Now I know detecting related journalism is often shoddy at best but this is a new level of bad.
PS: My Dad passed away when when I was 14 and he always said I live in a free country and I am allowed to speak my mind.

Thanks Dave..... spades a spade & a shovels a shovel in my world.
I spend all day being "PC" and "nice" to people that, to be frank, I don`t really want to be nice to..the joys of working in the public sector and not being allowed to tell it like it is!!

A little out of order one thinks, the message from OW422. But agree with JC and the whole thing seems rather strange and a little odd.
