Great article :g58: When I started metal detecting I never dreamt I would be handing over treasure items to the museum :g45: But I have on numerous occasions, I was happy just finding Victorian pennies :g58: and my original dream was to find a 1933 penny :g42:

The contribution that MD has made to the historical record is priceless... not to mention the contribution to the popularity of museums and tourism... we sometimes get a bit of a backlash from some in the archaeology community ... but were it not for our efforts many archi's would have a job. We are unsung hero's, sad to say not all see it like that.
