Thought I recognised it Phil - it's on page 57 of the Sept issue of Treasure Hunting mag with an estimate at auction on the 23rd Aug of £6,000 to £8,000.

I always wondered how those annular brooches were fixed on to clothing - wouldn't take much for it to slide off I would have thought - maybe that's how it was lost :g58:

Strange isn't it. If you spotted that laying on the beach, you could not be blamed for thinking that
it was cheap seaside tat. It has that appearance, quite dull to look at, colour not exiting, and the
decoration overstated, and quite amateurish. Just goes to show how we cannot leave anything
untouched.
I used to have an issue regarding having an inferiority complex, I no longer have an issue with being inferior.
