A rare hoard of 10 gold coins recently discovered in Chiddingstone is being acquired by the Eden Valley Museum in Edenbridge.
The museum is now launching a £13,000 fundraising campaign to help cover the cost of purchasing the coins and setting up a new display area to house the precious collection.
The official opening of the exhibition on Saturday, 7 April will feature a talk by Kent finds liaison officer Jo Ahmet called The Chiddingstone Hoard, Treasure and Portable Antiquities in Kent and the chance to meet Jonathan Barber, who found the Chiddingstone Hoard.
The talk starts at 2.30pm and tickets cost £6 or £5 for EVMT members.
The new exhibition will be open to the public from Wednesday, 11 April.
