'Enormous' 3.7-acre Roman settlement preserved

Post by Euan »

'Enormous' 3.7-acre Roman settlement preserved beneath the sand for more than 2,000 years is the largest ever found on the Channel Islands

The Roman ruins were found at Longis Common on the island of Alderney
The ancient settlement was abandoned, before being lost under drifts of sand
Residents at the Roman site were richer than other Channel Island folk
Measuring 3.7 acres, the Roman site is the largest settlement ever found in the Channel Islands and nearby areas of France Click Here :g50:

Thanks Euan, the Channel Isles are really productive these days.
I used to have an issue regarding having an inferiority complex, I no longer have an issue with being inferior.
