I read this account with interest.

I thought that both the finder and the farmer were very lucky to have been award a sum of £10,000 each.

While being a beautiful find, this could have been anybodies ring from that era.

Not a metal detectorists then but a 'Treasure Hunter'!? Also a shame that both images of the ring are out of focus :g17:

I am also thinking that the magazine with the same name could think about changing to something more apt in todays world? Any suggestions??

Something like history hunter could be more suitable for today's world... :g43:

If their is a chance that it did indeed belong to the wives, I’d have not sold that for a pitiful 20k
