I read this account with interest.
I thought that both the finder and the farmer were very lucky to have been award a sum of £10,000 each.
While being a beautiful find, this could have been anybodies ring from that era.

I am also thinking that the magazine with the same name could think about changing to something more apt in todays world? Any suggestions??

If their is a chance that it did indeed belong to the wives, I’d have not sold that for a pitiful 20k
