It's incredible to think of the rich history that lies on our doorstep in Glasgow in the form of the Antonine Wall, which represented the northernmost frontier barrier of the Roman Empire.

And while remnants of the Roman occupation can still be witnessed via the remains of the wall in places like Duntocher and Bearsden, there's a handful of Roman items that were uncovered that might have us all asking Santa for a metal detector this Christmas!

We are talking about Roman coins that have been found over the years buried in the ground and even in people's gardens in and around the city - coins that were potentially worth a small fortune.
