Paid £1.14.9 for diesel at a BP Garage this morning. :g58: :g41:

Average price for petrol £1.06.9 but I have seen it at £1.04.9 today.

I was on my way to a Morrison's which is normally cheaper when I spotted this one. I carried on to Morrison's but turned around when I saw the price £1.16.9 still. The Sainbury's on my way back was £1.17.9 and Tesco's about 6 miles futher on was £1.16.9. The Sainsbury is near the Jag plant Castle Bromwich and is normally the cheapest around.

Good to see fuel coming down a bit, even if it is still very expensive, but Tesco seem to be keeping very quiet about the fact that they put the price of milk up by 3p a pint this week too.

my local Tesco has dropped 2p off a litre...down to 107.9 (Wonder if the manager is trying for a bigger bonus this year.

***Nobody has noticed *** them prices I placed in my earlier post... All the prices are the same for a litre of diesel...no matter what brand of fuel you buy. I ask you is Price fixing rife in the petrol industry?

Not sure who you'd have to complain to Advent... If it is price fixing...

Diesel is 117.9 at our nearest Shell garage, and the same at Sainsburys, which are
only a few hundred yards away from each other. Garages don't undercut each other
if there's no need.

Tesco used to have a price promise on petrol, they would match any store within a couple of miles of them, no more. They've definately come to an agreement, not to have costly proce wars. Speaking of which, with a barrel of oil now below £80, down form over £160 a few months ago, shouldn't we be seeing a lot lower prices tan we are? I'll bet the oil companies will post HUGE profits this year (again) wonde what bank they'll put it in!

Now then oil is bought in US$... and guess what the £ sterling has fallen against the dollar....wonder if that was fixed too.....

Whats all this point nine business as in 107.9? Why dont the thieving gits just show 108?
You never see fuel at 107.7 or 107.1
And if I buy 27 litres that should then cost £29.13.3p @ 107.9 per litre. How do I pay the 0.3p then???

Not an Icelandic one thats for sure.. :g42:

Good point though Gregg, the 3p cost adjustment in no way reflects the true drop in oil prices, no wonder we are facing a fooking recession if the prices are arteficially hyped like this, lowing fuel costs to a realistic level wwould certainly help counter act the threatened financial crisis.

One does have to wonder if this whole fiasco is being engineered for some reason we have yet to understand fully.
