The Old-Maps website
Tried to use my favourite old maps web site today, http://www.old-maps.co.uk. Haven't used it for a couple of weeks, but it's changed. Used to be able to get enlarged old map and aerial view, but it now seems to be a totally different web site - or am I losing my marbles??!! Anyone know what's happened to old-maps.co.uk?
Cheers

Its one of those cases where they have supposedly updated the site to make it better,
more user friendly, but seem to have shot themselves in the foot as far as improving it is concerned.
Some websites, when they update, will have the older version running in tandem, so if users prefer, can use the one they are used to.
Its a pity they didn,t continue to use arial photography with the newer version because of the benefits it had for site research.

£15 for a download £25 for an A3 print..
bit of a p*ss take really.. If it was a £1 or two for a download, a majority of people wouldn't mind paying it. Good job i saved all my maps before the plug was pulled on the old site.

Just been back on Magic, ive forgot how good and accurate the maps are. Some even still show old field boundarys and tracks, that have long gone on my land..

Re: The Old-Maps website
I have just visited the website for the first time and noticed a rectangle on an area I am interested which has vertical lines top and bottom and straight lines at the sides, does anybody know what this means? (there is no key)roughly but lines same size.
