Hi all,

Would anyone have photos of an Arado 130 REAR control box showing the battery door arrangement?
Far as I remember, there were 2 screws holding on a small square metal door? I used open just one of these (from memory) and swivel it either way to insert/remove the batteries?
A mate is renovating a 130 and I would appreciate any Help & Tips and photos of the battery door/screws etc if at all possible.

You can mail me directly if easiest: des.dunne@yahoo.ie

Many thanks

Des D

Looks right to me Keith. I had the 130 which control box wise was Very similar. Great machine for the time. But heavy compared to todays machines.

Mmmmm!!! Don't mention that word :g56:

I used to like using it though back in the early 1990's, I got the arm aid and fitted the additional threshold adjuster too.

Pete,

Could you do me a favour if you would be kind enough to measure the dimensions of the battery cover door please?
My mate is re-building his second hand purchase which is in an awful state and asked me that?

Furthermore, does anyone know where a second hand meter housing could be found? His is broken. He's looking too make one from ABS material but would prefer 'the original part'

Does anyone repair them now in the UK: was 'Pentechnic' the official repair centre?
Do you think he might still have any parts?

Finally, whatever happened to the 'Technology' of 'Arado?' Did anyone buy the rights to it?

Many thanks

Des

Hi Des - I will hunt out my Arado and measure the battery housing plate.

I bought my machine from Mark See-Evans in Bath - he was well in with the chap that made Arado's and seem to remember he made Mark a huge search coil and believe he found a Viking burial site with it!!! Memory is a bit vague now as this was over 20 years ago. It might be worth trying to track down Mark though?

If you look at kieths image of the backplate above , They dont look like screws. cant see any slots..They look like catchplates twist & pull , :g43:
