Grid Reference android phone app

Post by PhilD »

You can save the FLO time by using this android app and noting down your find spot NGR's;

https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... g&hl=en_GB

You need to enable the phone's GPS first, then set the app to 10 figure NGR and wait a short while till it maximises it's accuracy.

You can then type the NGR into the map location on the link below to show how accurate it is;

ive been using this for some time now and its pretty accurate to be fair the only down side is it can be a bit slow at times, but if its worth recording its worth the bit of a wait normally in less than a minute, i record everything to 10 digits it does make life a lot easier for the flo and saves so much precious time, so give it ago you cant knock it if you ain't tried it and its free :g50:

Iv been using this ap now GR Grid Reference for about 5 years now and it got to admit its never loosed me down you can record from 2 figures up to 10 but 10 is the preferred grid position to the flo its more accurate so all you newbies give it ago its free down load and takes up hardly any memory give it a whirl
