google earth for scotland

I live on the border with south west scotland and get google aerial photos of england no problem. when I go to cross the border, the quality becomes unusable. am I doing something wrong or has Mcgoogle no payed the bill ?

you can get it all over scotland, but not in the scottish borders

I've taken a look, there are areas that have the details that the rest of the country has. I would suggest that because of low population areas and local govenment conditions the need for GE to purchase fight time and data is lower then the rest of the country. Just a guess.

try it around dalkeith, thre's a huge cloud shadow, very poor, in the last google earth I had no problems at all

There is poor detail for my area of Scotland too, 192.com has good quality pictures though, if this helps.

Probably the right guess. I live in SW Scotland and constantly find it frustrating.

aye its annoying mate im just over the border nr annan and the pictures are crap! got sites with enclosures ,forts, henges etc........would love a look at them from the air!!!!

dont want to step on anyones toes but if you're happy for a bit of company doonhamer and axeman give me a shout. i live just outside carlisle but get up to gretna quite a bit to see my dad.
