Fast recording of find spot NGR's on Google Earth

Post by PhilD »

If like me you also use Google for recording your find spots, the following link I find very useful.

http://www.nearby.org.uk/flyto.php

Click on the link and enter the 10fig NGR i.e. SE2389984365 and click on 'Fly To'

This will open your Google Earth programme and place a marker in the find spot.

Click on the yellow place mark pin at the top of the screen, add your find details and click on OK. This will put a yellow marker at your findspot.

You can then look in 'Places' and 'Temporary Places' and uncheck the box to hide the other marker or right click and delete to get rid of it altogether.
