Re: OS Map in Google Earth kml file
Thought I would bump this link up one last time as it in my opinion is so useful, if you have Google Earth version 5.0 installed ( http://earth.google.co.uk/ ) and download this .kml file it will overlay an OS map on top of the Google Earth map for the whole country (save it to 'my places');
http://www.brock-family.org/gavin/googl ... osmaps.kml
It positions the OS Map bang in place on the GE Map and you can use the transparency slider to fade in and out the OS map so you can easily see any old footpaths, high ground, water courses etc on your land where maybe more finds are to be had.

Re: OS Map in Google Earth kml file
I can't get this to work, I've got Goole Earth 5.
I'm getting the OS logo at the bottom left, and the slide bar also. But I can see the OS map anyhwere.
Thanks

Re: OS Map in Google Earth kml file
The slider is on the left of the screen under 'my places', just above where it says 'layers'.
Slide it to the left to fade out the OS map and to the right to fade it in.
Atky try zooming right in on the field, when you stop zooming the map should appear, also make sure the slider is sufficiently over to the right.

I must have missed it at the time Barry or I would have been using it earlier, still no harm in flagging it up again.
