I heartily concur. A lot of time and effort has obviously been put in and the results justify it.

Thanks from the newsletter team for your kind comments - they are much appreciated!

The newsletter isn't meant to rival any of the magazines tho - there is more than enough room for them and for us without stepping on each others toes.

The ukdn newsletter is first and foremost about the members of the forum and their stories, their finds and the 1001 things of interest that you guys and gals get up to. We've had some great articles from people so far - some of them didnt think they had anything worthwhile to say or anything that they thought would interest the other members - I'm thrilled to say how wrong they were :) :clap

We also try to bring onboard articles from others interested in detecting mainly from the archaeological world - it always surprises me how many of these people are female - must be something about the lure of this male dominated hobby?

The newsletter is only ever as good as the people who contribute - so please continue to do so as much as you possibly can. You can write an academic tome, a chatty article or tell us about yourself, what area of the country you detect in and what you find - anything and everything would be cool

Thank you to all the people who have contributed to date and thanks to you who are contributing for the future - as well as a big thanks to those of you who take the time to read it too!

Another excellent read, but is there a link to the previous 4 as I inadvertently trashed them whilst doing a bit of PC housekeeping.
