Hi;
Whilst searching Youtube I found a great video on beach detecting. In the video the guy was using a great scoop with holes in that made searching through the sand a breeze.
It looked like a Poop Scoop with holes in like a colander for sieving?
Any idea what these are and what they are called and where I can find one?
Also any recomendations for a good small one handed if poss spade?

Re: Sand Scoop
I saw this vid on YouTube and am currently making one for myself. Bought the cutterly drainer from Ikea and the other bits I have kicking around the garage. Should cost me around £12 in all.

Re: Sand Scoop
I had a chip basket with a wooden handle (handle attached to both edges of basket for better stability)
It needs much less shaking as it leaves all the soft sand behind.
I did get some funny looks from a market trader who saw me testing his wares with a 5p coin.

Re: Sand Scoop
I fancy one of those shinny scoops on a broom stick but may get a hand scoop aswell as I suppose sometimes you would need both
