Signed as well... You need to get it into local papers or relevant magazines to increase exposure and get the numbers up. good cause though and heres hoping as its not something any of us want to see.

Are there any RHS Members here.....

As they have a forum http://mygarden.rhs.org.uk/forums/ i think it would be good to get something going on there....
They are my old employer so properly best that i don't do it... I know the principle soil scientist over there i will see it he has any suggestions...??

"RHS policy statements - The RHS endorses local authority initiatives for the collation and composting of waste plant material from gardens, and the provision of subsidised compost bins for community or home composting."

Have a look....

Thanks Lee. I hope somebody replies.

We have been given an opportunity to do another piece for the NCMD magazine. I'm going to try and focus a bit on updating everybody, and also try and drum up a bit of support.

We have about 750 signatures at the moment. Have 10 months or so left on the petition, and could get lots more names. But the truth is, me and Barny only have a certain amount of time.

Even if a few jumped on board, you wouldn't be bombarded with work (it would just be at your own leisure) but you could help in the campaign. For those a bit more adventurous, you could contact papers, magazines, radio etc etc. I will offer full support.

Has anyone thought about the soil association yet? Also Prince Charles would certainly be concerned about such practices, so a letter off to the Duchy of Cornwall would not go amiss. :g50:
