Environment Agency Response

Post by Steve Rice »

This is hard work. Finally got a reply (of sorts) after several emails to my local department. MP hasn't replied to any emails - might start getting a bit narky now :g6:

Dear Steve,

Thank you for your e mail regarding your concerns over "green waste".

I have forwarded this to one of our Specialist Area Teams for advice and they will be in touch with you in due course.

In the meantime, should you require any further information or assistance, please do contact us.

Kind Regards,

Okay, I'll wait for their response and then a file a Freedom of Information Act request, for all farms nationwide who have applied and been given a licence to spread U10, U11 and U13 waste on their fields.

Once we have this information, we can decide the next step. :g50:

I was just going to say let's start to make a list of farms but if that info can be obtained then that's the easiest way to do it :g50:

thge problem is - i am going to give them a location but i dont just want them to act on an isolated small farmer - they seem to be missing the larger picture, - sounds good ste, i feel we need to get our heads together and make a single downloadable pack with all the new pics and information, -

Phill is it possable to use the ukdn file you put together but update the content? or best do a new one?

I can do a new one, just point me to the information you want it to include.

I think people are reluctant to name farms for fear of upsetting the farmers and then it has been mentioned that permissions could suffer if the word spread that detectorists are dropping farmers in it with the authorities.

Instead of fields full of crap we could end up with no fields at all :g43: We need to make sure the farmers are on side :g58:

Yep, we have to be very careful I agree. That is why I said get a list of farms, with this license, and then seriously consider our next step Dave. Will need some thinking. Maybe the NFU??
