Yes Doncaster area :)
The online book "The Coats of Arms of the Nobility and Gentry of Yorkshire V1" has a section that lists families and the location of Churches in West Riding where their Arms could be found. (The info was apparently sourced from the 1892 book "Heraldry in the Churches of the West Riding" by the Rev. J. Harvey R.Loom.) It shows that the Arms of Shuckburgh families were in churches at Ecclesfield, Brierley, and Wadworth, which are about 18, 13, and 5 miles, respectively, from Doncaster, so it seems Shuckburgh families were in the area where the button was found.
Strange I drove through all those places today onmy way to a funeral :g58: Thanks for the research Dave :g50:

If that's an Earl's coronet above the crest....it may be a "2nd Earl of Abergavenny" livery button.

The motto NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT (No-one injures me with impunity) is associated with the "Order of the Thistle", and the only Earl I can find with a similar crest and the "Order of the thistle", is Henry Neville, the 2nd Earl of Abergavenny.

Nevil crest... Click Here

Burke describes his crest as........
Out of a ducal coronet, or, a bull's head, ar.
pied sable armed gold, and charged on the neck with
a rose, gu. barbed and seeded ppr.

And shows.....
Town Residence - 34 Berkeley Square.
Seats - Castle of Abergavenny, in Monmouth;
Eridge Park, and Kidbrook, in Sussex.

Henry Neville was born in 1755, married in 1781, became an Earl in 1785, received the the "Order of the Thistle" in 1814, and died in 1843.
Click Here

Some online info has him with a different crest, and often a different spelling of his surname.

The decoration around around the outside of the motto is unusual......are they roses?

The "decoration" is the rose and the portcullis that Burke mentions in his description of Henry Neville's coat-of-arms.....

Badges, on the dexter, a rose, gu. seeded, or, barbed vert ;
on the sinister, a portcullis, or.

(dexter = left, sinister = right).
