:g43: i got a rams head buckle in november last. saw same as mine on time-line site on buckle sold in 2010. :g43: dont take photos only on my phone. dont know how to post photos on here, or even send off my phone any where. sad innit. an old boy who dont get on with all this new fangled stuff. i know i m missing out. lifes too short. i love teckin only. 40 years next september..shown it around. some think i m weired. some are facinated. i love it any way, first i ve found. first time finds send me into raptures. still got it. carrying it around.

That's certainly one T....a Type B pin .....the loop has been broken off taking some of the body of the pin with it................. :g50:

The knobbley bits on Rogers find seem identical to the
Knobbley bits on Dendro_Tom's "Brooch for ID" found on Sunday. :g58:

So are they brooches or buckles :g43: the reason I ask because a lad asked me to wait while he had collected his finds from the FLO in Doncaster museum this morning. He brought his stuff over to show me and one was a lovely example of one of these, much smaller than I imagined :g43: :g58: I said "what a lovely brooch", "no" he said the FLO said "its a buckle"? :g43:

They are definitely buckles Dave. Examples have been found now with the buckle plates still attached and my research is showing how they could be used to attach belts or straps............. :g50:
