Thanks Simon was it found in Wiltshire ? Also I think I should start to ask for the diameter
as it might help with ID ing - especially ones that are not as clearly and well marked as this
one. So anyone reading this who already has a seal in the album can you add the dimensions
and county of origin if not already given please.

Think it's finally starting to come together with new info coming in regularly now - take a look at
the Russian Bale seals which I have only recently become aware of and grouped together.
Should be more info on them when a new book by John Sullivan comes out later this year.

Thanks moonshine - some really different ones there - I was wondering whether to put them all under 'Italian' seals but you said they may be French so we'll leave them individually placed until more can be found out about them - if you could fill in the diameters/dimensions under 'comments' I'd be obliged.

Thanks daviduk - not sure - probably a cloth seal but markings look hand etched - interesting and worth keeping on show in case more are found and/or someone finds out something about them. Dimensions might help ID.

cerberus - I'd really appreciate a picture of the other side even if blank please.

Thanks all keep em coming and follow the link to add any details you may have on any of them please.
