Some info from the text;

Interestingly it says;

The (horizontal) movement of artefacts was greatest in the direction of ploughing and larger artefacts are moved more than smaller ones.

Larger objects move upwards with the plough while smaller objects slip downwards.

If objects are not removed from the plough zone, they have a probability of being exposed on the surface after ploughing once every 5 or 6 years.
