Re: First Go With New Macro Kit
Next step is to add a scale to each image, a plastic 15cm/6inch rule from a cheap shop is OK. This will always help the Finds Advisers to give you an answer.

Re: First Go With New Macro Kit
What sort of kit is it mate? when ever poss use a tripod as with macro/close up shots any shake of the camera results in blurred shots
Sometimes too much to drink is barely enough.

Re: First Go With New Macro Kit
i have similar, all of my close up shots on my flickr page have been taken using them (see the link in my signature) if you are just using the on board flash and you get too close to the subject the lens will cast a shaddow in the shot, my advice is get a secondary flash unitmetal-head wrote:Hi its a kit of four lenses that screw into your cam lensepopsandme wrote:What sort of kit is it mate? when ever poss use a tripod as with macro/close up shots any shake of the camera results in blurred shots

Re: First Go With New Macro Kit
Good pics but I think the second one down as a bit of camera shake or slightly out of focus

Re: First Go With New Macro Kit
try using the M setting for "manual", its not always convenient but natural light is always the best, guaging the shutter speed, apperture & iso is alway tricky but the more you use the different settings the easier it getsmetal-head wrote:Cheers i am useing my canon 1000d the setting i had it on was the letter p on the dial could i use more light? thanks phil.

Re: First Go With New Macro Kit
I have a plastic 2 part box, bought from HobbyCraft, A5 in size and made from a translucent plastic. I also have a sheet of picture glass, the type that does not reflect light. I place this on top of one half of the box, so that you have a couple of inches between the class and the base of the box. What this does is remove most of the shadows from around the edge of the object when you shot it with flash or daylight.

Re: First Go With New Macro Kit
In that case you did a decent job hand held you will see a big difference using a tripod or camera mount, especially if you also use self timermetal-head wrote:That was me need to get a bipod me thinks budDonnydave wrote:Good pics but I think the second one down as a bit of camera shake or slightly out of focus

Re: First Go With New Macro Kit
you're right dave about the tripod........but i have found when doing tripod work a shutter release cable is a wise investment, and at this price its a mere snip (i have no connection to the seller) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Remote-Shutte ... 27b7b969f0Donnydave wrote:In that case you did a decent job hand held you will see a big difference using a tripod or camera mount, especially if you also use self timermetal-head wrote:That was me need to get a bipod me thinks budDonnydave wrote:Good pics but I think the second one down as a bit of camera shake or slightly out of focus
