crop marks on new land

Just had some new Permission granted today and started to look at the land..Any ideas what the crop marks are likely to be...Cheers John

is it a cattle farm.....could be where the trough has been, and then relocated??
well done on the fin d for the farmer by the way!!

this is what i was thinking due to the oval shape of the marking - they are also light so you know its not ditches as these show dark, would be worth looking into as it looks v interesting. steve.

Looks like marks were cattle have been fed to me too.

its an undiscovered inca village full of gold trinkets and offerings to the gods, the circles are the treasure burial pits - how that john does it make you feel better now :Biggestgrin:

you could always ask the farmer. Got some land once and studied the aerial photos. Possible medi sunken roadway showed up. Got to site and the farmer asked where was I gonna start, told him which field and he said "Oh where the gas board put the pipeline in !"

do a google earth search for "High Hunsley"........now they are strange marks...they are everywhere!!

just took another look at the pic - i think i saw a few markings we all missed :g50: you might have a saxon church and village tucked away on there, now hows that making you feel. full of beans and ready to charge that tector up, :shock:
