A HOARD of 2,384 Roman coins, a medieval silver ring, a medieval silver spoon and a Roman silver brooch were all discovered in four different areas in Wiltshire.

The discoveries were declared treasure by coroner Claire Balysz during a series of treasure trove inquests at Salisbury Coroner's Court on Monday.............

That's a very interesting read and a great day out for the various finders ...

I see that the reporter Elizabeth Kemble, originally reported this on 2nd August 2016.

That seems quite a long time from the date of the discovery to the declaration of treasure by coroner.

But I do understand there were considerable numbers involved in the finds ...
