That's never what Donnydave looks like!! He's nearly as old as me! Funny how you picture someone when you chat to them on line and it's nothing like them
Great write up Tom.

Ah - the avatar - of course! That was probably what I was picturing you like without consciously thinking about it. Calories and gravity catches us all up in the end

yes the news letter is great, now i can say that i've had my 15 minutes of fame .i still look forward to getting back to the old country to do some more detecting, most of you are virtualy biting your diggers because you have to wait a couple of months for the crops to be removed, my last time over there was 2 years ago but as the wife is an invalid i can't see that happening so i look forward to the news letter, keep them coming please. mike.

Re: Issue 24 - August 2009 UKDN Word
Thanks for the comments guys, nice to know it has had such an effect on so many for the last two years of publication. The UKDN Word is only as good as those who contribute and those that edit it, so that's down to you the membership and Corrine and PhilD who do the really hard work of making it presentable each month....as volunteers!
If you feel you have something you could share with us, a days detecting that you will always remember or a product or machine review then please do get in touch, in fact we'll accept most things you have to offer that is of interest to us all. So anything historical, archaeological or of course detecting related then we'd like to hear from you
In return you get your article forever electronically stored and of course your profile will show you as a contributor. For those who have a big story to tell, why not do an article that we can serialise each month? Just drop Corrine or PhilD a pm with your ideas!
Thanks again for all your kind comments, it's appreciated guys
