Amazing to think they could bring down such a big beast with simple flint weapons. The meat from one Mammoth must have kept them going for a bit :g58: :g50:

I have also read that they used to light fires and create a back burn behind the mammoths at a choosen point and being hearding animals they used to stampede off the cliffs and fall to there deaths or get finished of by spears!

As i understand it was there inability to adapt to the changing environment which was the final nail in the coffin for them... :g63: but undoubtedly being hunted by man didn't help there cause at all... :g45:
On another note they now know from mammoth remains being discovered preserved in melting ice in Russia and former Russian territories, that mammoths were Brown, Blonde and Ginger haired believe it or not. :g58:

Surprised that an arrowhead could penetrate so deeply into bone like that. To generate that kind of force it would have to be the tip of a spear surely?
