Re: The Early Military Button project
Hi, I usually have a knack of finding different and unusual things and here is my first "old" military button allbeit broken. I've wanted one of these for a long time and I think "if I'm right" it's a button of the 60th foot which was largely based in the US and was involved in t...

Re: Farmer's 'most difficult harvest'
Hate to be a harbinger of doom but I can't see a week of dry weather any time soon, I hope I'm proved wrong. Seems like it's been grey and murky for months now and it's not even winter!
Please please be sunny soon!

Re: Time Team 2008
At the end of the day Tony Robinson is like the rest of the treasure mad people, his eyes light up at the sound of gold! They've had some damn nice finds on T.T, I don't think a gold coin (a noble I believe ranks amongst the best).
Still will be nice to see it come up.

Re: Hammered coins
When I see totals like yours I blush, i set myself a meagre target of 10 a year. I have 2 so far this year (my year starts feb).
But now I have my GMP, I might have to add a '0' on!

Re: Nighthawks strike excavation site
The article does allow people to post comments up, might be worthwhile. I can't help but think they've hammed the story up a bit. A few Roman Coins and maybe the odd Brooch does not a story make. At least thats what the time team are always saying. They make it sound as though the Ark of the Covenan...
